On 9th January 1969, a Sud Aviation Caravelle operated by AIR INTER became the first aircraft in the history of civil aviation to land in actual Category IIIA conditions during a commercial flight. There were 56 people on board the aircraft that landed at Paris Orly in Caravelle F-BNKH.
