In 1925, the then squadron leader of the Royal Air Force (RAF) – ARTHUR CONINGHAM, was the Pilot-in-Command flying the first aircraft that landed in Nigeria (Kano). He was instructed by the British government to fly in and give a situation report on the clash between Kano’s residents and the then colonial government officials.
